24 update

It's getting to the end and I thought I would give my review before it is finished.

First, this is 24's last and final season and as a big time fan I'm sad to see it go. But this season has had to be the worst season of 24 so far. And I'm not the only one who thought that.

My list of things that killed 24:
1. Dana Walsh/Jenny
Without a doubt this character/story line was the worst move the writers of 24 have ever done. Seriously, wtf were they thinking?


2. Rene Walker
Bringing her back was a bold move because she ended last season on a bad note. I personally never liked her character. Then she comes into this season as a "damaged" Rene and now Jack has somehow developed feelings for her. What I did like about the return of Rene is she eventually gets killed and it sends Jack into another revenge filled killing spree. Now that is what I'm talking about!


3. NY - CTU
First they bring back Cloe. I don't hate Cloe, but her character is annoying and distracting. But the new Director of CTU (Bubba from Forest Gump) was an ok character, but once again he screwed up like all former CTU Directors and Cloe got to replace him as acting Director. The whole things was lame and predictable. I also had a hard time believing that the EMP only caused minor damage to the computers that only Cloe could fix. I have a hard enough time trying to believe half of the crap in 24 without making it too obvious.


4. Madam President
I didn't mind her too much last season, but this season I really hate her. Now that Charles Logan has returned (WTF were they thinking there?!) I can't decide who I hate as a President more.



Now I will say that I've made it this far through the season and I plan on seeing it all the through. The only saving grace is that Jack has once again gone rogue and has blood in his eyes. He even killed the unarmed Dana/Jenny. That one moment was AWESOME! It's not enough to save the season, but it got me cheer out loud! Oh man, it is so good to have Jack back. I just wish they could have done this early on in the show. If they would have there is no doubt that 24 wouldn't have been canceled.

So thanks 24 season 8 writers for destroying one of the only decent TV shows out there. After Jack Bauer kills everyone involved with the Russian's and Rene's death, you all should be next.

Review of 24

I'm not going to say a whole lot and just get to the point.

I would give the first 4 hours of season 7: 4 out of 5 stars.

I am very excited about this season. There are already lots of twists & turns to keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat.

Great show and highly entertaining. It's good to have Jack back.

The time has come

The long wait is finally over. 24 season 7 is on tonight! Tonight is a 2 hour premiere with another 2 hours tomorrow!

Oh Yeah!

My review of "24 - Redemption"

I did watch the 2 hour premiere of 24-Redemption and of course I enjoyed it! But to be fair I will break it down into likes & dislikes about the prequel to Season 7. (Warning: may contain spoilers)

Likes:
1) Jack Bauer showed he has a heart by giving up everything and serving a third world school.
2) I enjoyed seeing Jack make emotional connections with the boys. (As a 24 enthusiast, sometimes I begin to wonder if Jack Bauer is simply a robot with no emotions at all.)
3) I liked that the storyline wasn't the usual 'save the world in 24 hours' type of storyline.
4) At the end, Jack again did what was necessary and once again sacrificed himself to the better cause. What a stud!

Dis-likes:
1) It didn't give much of a review of back story, not that I need one, but for those who are tuning into 24 for the first time that would have been kinda nice.
2) I hated the fact that his friend, the guy who started the school and provided a hiding place for Jack, had to die. But that wasn't unexpected, this is 24 after all.
3) I did like seeing scenes that were leading up to something big involving a corrupt politician.
4) Kinda nice to see a female president, but even better than is it looks like shes isn't a corrupt president, I don't think I could handle that again.

Overall I would give 'Redemption' 3 out of 4 stars.

But I admit when I watched the long preview for the upcoming season I got really excited! Jack goes on trial for torturing a suspect to get information. And it looks like there will be no more CTU. But it looks like Cloe is back. And best of all Tony Almeda is making a return, but this time as the villain! How freakin awesome is that!

24 is back...Well in a little over a month it will be. I am a huge 24 fan! The only reason I am still an American is because Jack Bauer saved my country countless times from all those terrorists. Without him we would all be dead from either a nuclear bomb, biological weapon, atomic weapon, chemical weapon & a dead president or two.

I have been following 24 rather closely lately because I am in 24 rehab this year because they postponed it a year because of the writers strike. Well they made a 24 standalone movie that was originally intended to hit the theaters in the holiday season. Well they just announced that they are instead releasing it via television as a 2 hour event this November. The TV version will be somewhat edited because of the ads, but then they will be releasing the DVD with the full version soon after.

So to thank Jack Bauer for saving all of our lives time and time again the least you could do in return is watch his show and buy his DVD.
